Choose Your Fabric and Weight (GSM)
Polo fabrics fall into four families. Honeycomb is mostly CVC (cotton and polyester) and balances airflow with a neat finish. Quick dry is microfiber or polyester, light and fast drying. Single jersey is a smooth TC knit (65/35) with a flatter face and a friendlier price. Premium hybrids add spandex stretch or pair an inner cotton layer with an outer microfiber face for the best feel in the range.
The GSM benchmarks are different from t-shirts. As a practical rule, honeycomb and cotton-blend polos are standard at a substantial 210-220gsm, while quick dry polos are standard at 150-160gsm:
