Choose T shirt by Weight (gsm)

With cotton, the weight in gsm (grams per square metre) tells you most of what you need. In practice, lightweight is for giveaways and events, mid-weight is the daily and uniform standard, and heavyweight is for retail or anything meant to be kept.

Care, Shrinkage and Creasing

Cotton is comfortable, but it has a couple of trade-offs that synthetics do not. Better to know them up front:

  • 📏
    Shrinkage Natural cotton can shrink a few percent on the first wash. Hot drying makes it worse, so air dry in the shade and leave a little room over a just-right fit.
  • 👔
    Creasing It wrinkles more easily than synthetics. If that bothers you, a mid to heavy weight holds up better, or consider a blend or quick dry.
  • 🧺
    Care To protect the print, wash it inside out and skip hot drying and bleach. For coloured tees, a separate first wash is the safe move.

I wanted a custom T-shirt for an upcoming concert, but the artwork I had was AI-generated and the files I could provide were quite pixelated. I’m also not familiar with editing or preparing artwork for printing, so I really appreciated how patient and helpful the team was. They reassured me that they could work with what I had, helped clean up/recreate the design, and sent me the final artwork for approval before printing. The turnaround was also incredibly fast. I placed and paid for my order on 24 September and received it on 1 October, well ahead of the date I needed it. Most importantly, the finished shirt turned out SO GOOD.
